How many social networking sites, also known as Web 2.0, should the serious marketer join?

I don’t mean the average surfer who wants to just socialize. I am talking about the serious marketer who wants to make big money using social sites.

To be very honest with you, I have joined very few so far. As if we didn’t already have enough work keeping up the web sites and the blogs, now it is a well known observation that we need to add social sites to our burden.

I find it quite overwhelming! just can’t keep up.
