Finding a profitable market is not as easy as you may assume.  There is a great deal of time and research that should be devoted to finding the right market for you to promote in.  After all, selecting the wrong market could prove to be a waste of weeks of your time.

When looking for a profitable niche, you want to find a market that has customers who are accessible, a market that is growing fast, and something that is not already owned or established by too many competitors.  However, the most difficult yet important facet to finding a niche is looking at an industry that has high demand and little competition.

There is no sense in getting into a niche that is filled with excessive competition.  This makes it extremely difficult for you to succeed in it.  If you are entering a market that is full of large already developed companies, it is like a lion going up against a gazelle. You stand no chance.

At the same time, you do not want to enter a niche that has no demand whatsoever.  If there is no demand then there’s no point in even entering that market.  All you are doing is setting yourself up for failure.  So where do you look to find profitable niche ideas?

Really you want to look anywhere and everywhere for ideas.  Try to think of a problem you may have encountered and how you could fix it with a specific product.  Sometimes the easiest way to get an idea is by reading articles online or in the newspaper.  Talking amongst other Internet marketers in forums can be another great way to spark an idea.

There are several facets that should be taken into consideration when looking for profitable niches.  Everything from the market size to the demand should be looked at.  While there are several sources you can use to find profitable niches, sometimes the easiest method is to use software.
