Well, you had a few days to absorb the first 5 tips, so I hope you’re ready for 5 more. The important thing I must stress is for you to work within manageable size niches. If they are too general, you will have hundreda of thousands, or millions of pages of competition.
So you will probably end up on page 268 of a search engine result. A smaller niche gives you a shot at ending up in the first 20 search results. And that makes a lot more sense. Ok then, read on…
6. Don’t limit yourself to just one affiliate program. Join as many as you can without losing the focus of what you want to sell. You need to stay within your chosen niche. The greater the variety of products you offer, the more your reader will be pleased, and chances are that he will end up buying something. Joining affiliate programs is free, so you might as well make the most out of it. Just don’t overdo it.
7. Market the product enthusiatically. Once a consistent stream of visitors is established, it’s time to promote the affiliate product more strongly. This is usually done with a system of preselling. This serves to warm up the prospect, and then send him to the merchant’s sales page. It’s important to presell, and not put your prospect through 2 sales pages. It’s the merchant that must do the final selling.
8. Don’t hide behind an anonymous name. Anonymity is a common thing on the Net, but it’s bad for a business relationship. People would rather deal with someone they know, and get to trust, rather than a phony username. It will take time to be respected and appreciated by others, but it will happen if you let it and if you deserve it. I always give my real name, address and phone number, and it’s right on my web site at Best Affiliate Products on the Contact page.
9. Build a network of friends and competitors. You’ll be amazed how helpful your competitor can be. Share information about the best deals, product sources, the most effective strategies, and perhaps, even some lists of potential buyers. Remember, the world is all about a network of contacts. Each person you know could eventually help you out at one point. There is no reason why the internet should be any different.
10. Protect your affiliate link. Your affiliate link is the only thing that advises your affiliate program that you were the one who made that sale. The ClickBank network is the easiest place to cheat the affiliate. It is most likely the most common place where your commissions are swiped from under your nose. And even with all that, it is still likely the most popular payment system in Internet Marketing circles.
Your link is your bread and butter in your affiliate efforts. Link theft is so wide spread these days, that it really makes you ask the question, is affiliate marketing still worthwhile! Of course it still is. There are affiliate marketers making hundreds of thousand per year. Just be sure to give yourself the edge, and protect your affiliate link at all costs.
So there you have it, a few valid tips on marketing affiliate products to niche markets. I do hope you’ll make use of them.
Take a look at this niche product, and decide for yourself if it couldn’t be very useful to you. Killer Niche Marketing
